Après une semaine fin avril passée à Shimizu avec Katsuse Yoshimitsu au hombu dojo de l’école Sui O Ryu, Robert Rodriguez a participé du 02 au 05 mai 2013 au 109ème Zen Nippon Kendo Embu Taïkaï.

Le grand rassemblement (communément appelé Kyoto Taïkaï) se déroule traditionnellement chaque année aux mêmes dates (début Mai) à Kyoto, au Butokuden (« le palais des vertues martiales »). Il s’agit du plus grand évènement annuel concernant les arts martiaux traditionnels, organisé par la Fédération de Kendo du Japon (Zen Nikon Kendo Renmei). Plusieurs milliers de pratiquants haut gradés s’y retrouvent pour des démonstrations de kendo, iaïdo, jodo, naginata.

Robert a effectué lors du Taïkaï une démonstration du iaïkenpo de l’école Sui O Ryu, ainsi qu’une démonstration de jo-jutsu avec Katsuse sensei.

After a week (late April) with Katsuse Yoshimitsu at the Sui O Ryu hombu dojo in Shimizu, Robert Rodriguez has participated from 2 to 5 May 2013 at the 109th Zen Nippon Kendo Embu Taikai.
This renowned event (commonly called Kyoto Taikai) traditionally takes place every year on the same dates (early May) in Kyoto at the Butokuden (« the palace of martial virtues »). It is the largest annual event for traditional martial arts, organized by the Japan Kendo Federation (Zen Nikon Kendo Renmei). Thousands of high-ranking practitioners gather to give demonstrations of kendo, Iaido, Jodo, Naginata.
Robert has performed at the Taikai demonstration of iaï-kenpo from Sui O Ryu, and a demonstration of jo-jutsu with Katsuse sensei.
